LaTerra’s Dana Point self-storage project is located within a short drive of downtown Dana Point and the Dana Point Harbor. The facility, which will replace an existing RV and boat storage yard, will offer 1,258 mini storage units for rent across two three-story buildings in a high barrier-to-entry market in Orange County. Current and planned climate-controlled self-storage square footage per capita within a 3-mile radius of the project is 1.8. This property is located next to a Costco warehouse and is close to Dana Point Harbor, which is undergoing a $600m-plus redevelopment to include over 120,000sf of restaurants and retail, 2,200 boat slips, 500 dry boat-storage spaces, and two new hotels. In 2024, Dana Point Planning Commission approved a 306-unit apartment project less than half a mile from the LaTerra project. Project construction commenced in Fall 2025. |
