In December 2022, LaTerra obtained final approvals to develop 145,000 square feet of climate-controlled self-storage, 46,000 square feet of RV and boat storage, and 116,000 square feet of commercial at the 19.5- acre former Fry’s Electronics store in the heart of Irving, Texas
The project is located adjacent to Home Depot directly along the I-635 freeway in a densely populated area that has no self-storage or RV/Boat parking located in a 1-mile radius.
Irving is the “Headquarters of Headquarters,” with the highest number of Fortune 500 companies per capita of any city in the United States. Irving is the headquarters of eight Fortune 500 companies and five Fortune 1000 companies. Since Jan 2021, 80 major companies have announced relocations or expansions in the metroplex and 22 Fortune 500 companies are in the DFW area. Wells Fargo is breaking ground in Jan 2023 on its 844,000 SF office campus in Las Colinas, with over 3,000 employees to relocate to the new campus when it is expected to open in 2025.
