LaTerra’s Palmdale project will include 344 units of suburban housing including 36 build-for-rent townhomes. The site is located directly adjacent to the Antelope Valley Mall (approx. 1 million SF of retail). Project amenities include a resort pool, cabanas, outdoor fireplaces, a pet park and pet wash, and a fitness center. Palmdale is experiencing an extreme supply/ demand imbalance with no new apartment product built in over 30 years. On the demand side, there are over 20,000 highly-paid aerospace employees. Palmdale is home to Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and NASA. Several long term defense contracts have been awarded to Palmdale employers over the last several years including: $80B in B-21 bomber jets, investments in Aeronautics Advanced Development Programs (“Skunk Works” ) integrating AI, robotics, and other technologies, as well as the Supersonic X-Plane. |
